Go Take a Hike Photography Group

Welcome to all those who like to hit the trail! Short hike, long trek, day hike, nature walk - it's all good. This group is a place to submit your favorite photographs collected along the way - flora or fauna, birds, landscapes, the sky, the trail itself (who doesn't love a good trail photo??) or just interesting and unusual things found as you go.



WEEKLY THEME: From Sunday, October 12th through Friday, October 17th the group theme will be WILDLIFE IN FALL COLORS: any scene captured within a natural environment where the subject is some kind of wildlife which is clearly and obviously located within a fall colors landscape – no people, man-made objects, pets/domestic/captive/zoo animals, and no gardens, yards, marinas, zoos, neighborhoods or built-up areas allowed.




GROUP RULES:


1) NATURAL landscapes and scenes should be the focus of your images! Buildings and other man-made objects are okay, as long as they are a small, integral part of the NATURAL landscape being represented and are not right up front or the focus of the image. Please do not submit images taken in gardens, yards, marinas, zoos, or any built-up areas.

2) People and pets/domestic/captive animals should be represented in the same manner. It's okay if they are in your shot, as long as they are not the main focus of the shot. Wildlife ALWAYS welcome!

3) This is a photography group - Images that have been digitally painted or otherwise altered to the point that they do not look like photographs any more will not be accepted in the group. Light touching, texturing, blending, etc. will be allowed as long as the image still holds photographic integrity overall. Digital Art, Paintings, Drawings, Sketches, and AI may be submitted to the appropriate discussion board thread only.

4) No images portraying religion, or with religious quotes on the images themselves.

5) There will be a weekly theme posted on Saturdays for the following week (see up top!). Images you submit to the group are not required to follow the weekly theme, but only those that do will be considered for daily features. Featured images may be removed at any time to make room for new ones.

6) Please do not start any new threads in the discussion board. There are threads already present you can post your thanks in. If you need to ask me something, feel free to send me an email message!

7) One image per day, folks. Let's keep 'em clean and nudity free. As always, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's work!
