GROUP NAME - CHAIRS BENCHES AND OTHER MAN MADE SEATING

This group accepts PHOTOGRAPHS ONLY of any CHAIR, BENCH OR OTHER MAN MADE SEAT indoors or outdoors - The SEAT ITSELF must be the MAIN FOCUS of your composition - see rules 1 & 2 below. This group is NOT ABOUT THE ACT OF SITTING....it is for the item of furniture - indoors or out - on which people/pets etc sit. It does not include sit-on-able items such as rocks.

Welcome to this group to show off man made seating of all kinds.

1. PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY PLEASE.... Images that have been digitally painted or otherwise altered to the point that they no longer look like photographs will not be accepted. Light touching, texturing, blending, etc. will be allowed as long as the image still holds photographic integrity overall. The ONLY EXCEPTION to this is the use of SELECTIVE COLOURING on photographs. Images with selective colouring will be assessed on each submission. NOT ACCEPTED - 'LITTLE PLANET' POST PROCESSED IMAGES - NOT ACCEPTED - ANY AI WORK - NOT ACCEPTED - ANY FULLY DIGITALLY CREATED PICTURES.

2. SUBJECTS NOT ACCEPTED:
a) TABLES which take up more of the focus than the chairs
b) CHAIRS/BENCHES which have things covering them which detract from the seat itself.. pets/people/sculptures etc will be assessed on each entry.
c) SEATING which I need field glasses to see! (because they are too far away in your shot)
d) WORKS OF ART which leave no room for anyone to sit down on.
e) PEOPLE/ANIMALS sitting down on rocks, sand, walls, garden lawns etc.
f) SUPERIMPOSED or any other ADDED WRITING such as quotations, poems etc.
Each of the above, if submitted, will be individually considered by the administrator and may not be accepted. The SEAT ITSELF must be the MAIN FOCUS of your composition.

3. To begin with there will be no limit on the number of images submitted per day but please do not flood the group all at once.... 4 or 5 per day from each artist would be ideal.

4. FEATURES are awarded weekly and are not automatically given on submission of your picture. Features in this group are earned by merit and are chosen each week by the Administrator. Please acknowledge your feature in the designated group discussion page.

5. CONTESTS in this group are for members only. If you wish to enter a contest please join the group. All contest entries must also be accepted in the group. Any placed images which are not in the group gallery may be discounted and the winning placings given to the next image(s).

5A. PERMISSION FOR COVER SHOTS...From time to time I may need to borrow an image from one of our members as a cover shot for a contest. By agreeing to the rules of the group when you join you will also be agreeing to give your permission for this.
